After a lengthy process we are convinced that Phil Angelides is not only the most knowledgeable on the issues affecting the coast but is the most committed to their protection and preservation. Given Schwarzenneger's record of broken promises with regards to coastal protection and the last few Governors' poor records as well, California's coast needs a champion.
